Abstract
The "Muwatta of Imam Malik ibn Anas" is widely regarded as one of the most significant and esteemed works in the corpus of Prophetic Hadith. Its notable characteristic lies in its harmonious integration of Hadith and jurisprudence, encompassing a compilation of Ahadith, narrations, the fatwas of the Tabieen, the jurisprudence of the seven jurists, and the opinions of the early Imams. Numerous commentaries have been penned on this esteemed opus, ranging from detailed expositions to concise summaries. Among these, the comprehensive commentary titled "Awjaz Al-Masalik ila Muwatta Malik," authored by the venerable Hadith Scholar Sheikh Muhammad Zakariya al-Kandahlawi from the Indian subcontinent, shines brightly. Distinguished by its wealth of insights drawn from foundational linguistic texts, invaluable information, and profound insights, this commentary stands out prominently.
