Abstract

Even in the rites and festivals proven by the basic sources of the Semitic inspired religions, they have done some excess or damage to themselves or they have not followed the order that has been given to them. In the same way, Muslims have also ignored the philosophy of Eid and the rituals of Shab-e-Barat, Eid Milad-ul-Nabi and 10th of Muharram are baseless because there is a rule of Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’at that these people do what the Prophet ﷺ or his Companions did. What did the Prophet ﷺ have done while the justification for celebrating Milad, Shab-i-Barat and 10th of Muharram is neither in the biography of the Prophet ﷺ nor in the biography of the companions of the Prophet.

Therefore, in today's era, the festivity, singing, dancing, obscenity and nudity that is practiced in Eid-ul-Azha is never allowed by Shariat. It is just a waste of money in celebrating fabricated rituals and festivals and nothing else. If Milad-ul-Nabi is observed, in this age regular cakes are cut and Happy Birthday Ya Rasoolullah (PBUH) is written and dances are sung. Such actions are not allowed in Islam. This is not a work of reward but a work of punishment. This article examines the commonalities in the religious and social festivals and customs of the Semitic religions
